WhatsApp

This is our HTML5 helper. WhatsApp has no public HTML5 chat API, so the button still opens official WhatsApp Web.

WhatsApp currently lists Safari as macOS-only. iOS 12.5.7 may show “browser not supported”. Request Desktop Website first. If it still fails, use Gmail on the launcher — there is no unofficial WhatsApp client here.

Open WhatsApp Web

On this iPad

  1. Tap Open WhatsApp Web.
  2. If the page looks like a phone site or is blank, tap and hold the reload button, then tap Request Desktop Website.
  3. You should see a QR code.

On your phone

  1. Open WhatsApp.
  2. Go to Linked devices (or Settings → WhatsApp Web).
  3. Scan the QR code on the iPad.

Keep the tab open to receive chats. iOS 12 Safari cannot show WhatsApp push notifications.
